HOW TO RETURN

The Boardroom: Online Return and Exchange Policy (South Africa)

1. Standard Online Return Conditions

The Boardroom will accept returned merchandise provided it is in its original and unused condition, with all product tags attached, and is accompanied by an original proof of purchase (such as a receipt or invoice).
 

General Time Limits:

  • Returns for Refund: Must be initiated and received within 30 days of the date of purchase.

  • Gift Returns and Exchanges: May only be returned for an e-gift card or exchanged within 60 days of the original purchase date.


Shipping & Processing:

  • Please allow 7 business days for the return or exchange shipment to reach our South African warehouse.

  • Online returns cannot be accepted at The Boardroom physical retail stores.
     

Policy Enforcement:

To ensure a positive shopping experience for all our customers, if we identify an unreasonable return pattern, we may restrict or refuse future transactions from such customers. We also reserve the right to terminate accounts and limit purchases at our sole discretion.
 

2. Product Care

The Boardroom products are made with carefully selected materials and should be handled with care for a longer product life. All The Boardroom apparel will feature an interior tag with care instructions. Damage resulting from incorrect washing or care is not covered by this policy.
 

3. Gift Returns

If you received a gift purchased from The Boardroom, please contact us at business@theboardroomwear.com to initiate the return process. The refund will be issued as an e-gift card.

To process your gift return, the original order number and the shipping information (such as the purchaser's name and email address) may be required.
 

4. Final Sale Items

Items purchased as "FINAL SALE" are subject to the following rules:

  • Exclusions: Final Sale items are not eligible for a monetary refund or store credit, and the merchandise is sold as is.

  • Discounted Items: Merchandise purchased from The Boardroom at a discount of 40% or more is considered Final Sale.

  • Exchanges: Final Sale items can only be exchanged for a different size of the exact same style and colour, subject to availability.

  • Promotions: Promotions, including coupons and promo codes, cannot be applied to Final Sale purchases.


5. Exchanges (South African Orders)

Initiation and Process:

  • If you ordered the wrong size, please contact us at business@theboardroomwear.com to initiate an exchange.

  • We currently only offer size exchanges for the same style and color, subject to availability.

  • Exchanges should be sent back with the return packing slip included in the box.
     

Guarantee and Inspection:

  • Please send back your return item(s) as soon as possible to guarantee your exchange order. If any items are no longer in stock due to inventory changes by the time the return is processed, we will issue a refund to your original form of payment.

  • Once your return is received by the warehouse, your exchange order will be processed. All returned/exchanged items are subject to inspection by our Warehouse Team.

  • In the event the wrong item(s) are shipped to us, your original form of payment will be charged for the exchange order.


6. Returns (South African Orders)

Initiation

Shipping and Liability:

  • Returns should be sent back with the return packing slip included in the box.

  • You will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of the return shipment via a reliable courier service.

  • We do not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that a return package is lost, stolen, or mishandled by your courier.
     

Processing and Refunds:

  • Returns will be processed within 5–7 business days of receipt at our facility.

  • Refunds should appear on your account within 3–5 business days after processing, depending on your bank.

  • Please note items may be processed separately, and you will receive separate return confirmation emails.

  • We reserve the right to refuse the return of any merchandise that does not meet our return requirements.
     

7. International Orders

For international returns, please contact us at business@theboardroomwear.com to initiate a return and receive instructions.

All duties, taxes, and shipping fees paid are non-refundable. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly.
 

8. Retail Store Purchases

This section applies to purchases made at any standalone The Boardroom Retail store:

Standard Conditions:

  • The Boardroom will accept returned or exchanged merchandise in its original and unused condition, provided the tags are attached and accompanied by an original receipt within 30 days of purchase.

  • Retail store merchandise cannot be returned to an Outlet location.
     

Refunds and Gift Receipts:

  • The Boardroom will issue a refund in the form and amount tendered for the original transaction.

  • Cash purchases may only be returned for store credit.

  • Returns and exchanges accompanied by a gift receipt may only be returned for store credit or exchanged within 60 days of the original purchase.
     

Final Sale Store Items:

The following items are considered Final Sale and may not be returned or exchanged:

  • All merchandise purchased at a discount of 40% or more.

  • Special order items.

  • Gift card sales are final and may not be returned.
     

9. Items Purchased at Other Locations

Items purchased at other retailers, department stores, or any other authorized store selling The Boardroom merchandise (excluding The Boardroom physical retail stores) may not be returned to The Boardroom online store. Please follow the return policy of the original place of purchase.
